Welcome to Club Florida Volleyball, Inc.
We are pleased to announce our 6th season of Girls and Boys Club Volleyball. Last season our Girls’ 12 Mizuno, 13 Mizuno, 14 Mizuno and 18 Mizuno teams placed in the Top 7 in the Florida Regional Rankings in each age division. This year we hope to exceed last year’s results by placing all age divisions in the Top 5.
COACHING STAFF
The 2009 Club Season will comprise of the MOST Experienced AND Talented Coaches in South Florida. They include: Jody Brown, Head Coach- FAU; Former Colombian National Head Coach Rodrigo Canaval; Former St. Thomas University Head Coach, Albert Sturgeon; Northwood University Head Coach, Carla Nicholson; 2005 “Palm Beach Coach of the Year” Len Visser; 2003 & 2005 “Broward Coach of the Year” Lori Benjamin; 2007 “Broward Co-Coach of the Year” Denise Silvester & Marcy Barboza, and Many More Outstanding Coaches.
TRAINING FACILITIES & SCHEDULE
CFV’s Advanced Team Training will be held at the SPORTS MALL COMPLEX and the FAU SPORTS ARENA.
GOLD MEDAL SQUARED & CFV VISION
One of our visions has been to start a Grassroots Program. Our partnership with the Broward County YMCA’s, Boca Raton YMCA, and the City of Fort Lauderdale has enabled us to teach Girls and Boys ages 6- 14. Our goal is to teach the latest techniques offered by GMS and to make each child better!
In November 2008, our coaching staff was introduced and trained by the creators of Gold Medal Squared. The most recent success of the Men’s National Team’s Gold Medal at the Summer Olympics was a clear indication of the success of the GMS Philosophy.

PHILOSOPHY

 

Our purpose is to train athletes and help them to enhance their overall volleyball performance. We focus on skill development and basic understanding of team concepts. At Club Florida Volleyball every decision we make is made for the best interest of the player. We employ experienced high school and college coaches that have the will and ability to make the athlete a better player on and off the court.

USA Volleyball channels their teachings to our coaching staff about the latest techniques. We start by teaching our beginning athletes the basic fundamentals to build a solid foundation for future success. The intensity of the club process is heightened as athletes continue through our program. Before the club season begins, we discuss team and individual goals for each participant.

Our program goals are to also promote competitiveness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Our club develops self-discipline, dedication, confidence and leadership skills that transcend athletics into every aspect of a member's life.
